Sometimes, I talk about things no one wants to bring up. Like our flaws, mistakes and the “shadow self.” It’s not that I’m trying to make anyone uncomfortable. It’s that I have very little tolerance for B.S. We all know these undesirable traits are a part of existence so why not own them? There is so much freedom in truth and authenticity.
I’m fascinated with the concept of being deeply in touch with my spiritual evolution and my soul’s ascension while applying that to everyday life.
I wonder things like, “Is it possible to be an empowered being after I just displayed more road rage than a New York City cab driver?”
The answer is YES.
We as humans are a spectrum of energy and empowerment and at any given time we have the capacity to tap into any of the frequencies of the universe.
Thought leaders like David Hawkins and Abraham Hicks gave us the Map of Consciousness and Emotional Scale respectively. These gauges of measurement have been used to help us conceptualize different states of emotions. Each emotion vibrates at a specific frequency and we can only align with each frequency depending on where we ourselves are resonating.
Studying where we are at on the emotional scale and seeking to move up the scale to empower ourselves are intellectual ideas. FEELING the actual frequencies and truly tapping into the vibrations are much more abstract processes.
Either way, I start to wonder, “How do I apply these principles to everyday life?”
It’s one thing to feel empowered while living in a bubble. It’s another to go out into the world and embody those higher frequency vibrations while interacting with others.
I prefer the real world experience.
It’s the difference between running on a treadmill versus real pavement or learning to surf in a pool versus in the ocean. It’s like learning to ride a bike using training wheels or actually balancing yourself.
When you’re fragile or just awakening to your soul journey then you need to learn how to keep your balance or internal emotional mastery with some training wheels. This could be through others helping you reach and hold that higher vibration until you learn to arrive at it on your own.
Once you get good at finding your balance then the training wheels come off. But then there are times you take a metaphorical spill off the emotional scale and feel very low-resonating.
This doesn’t mean you’re not empowered. Empowerment isn’t a destination. It’s a process and an energetic place that is always available to you. How well you have mastered the process of climbing the emotional scale and maintaining a certain higher-resonating place is a truer indication of empowerment than never having low-resonating feelings at all.
In fact, the contrast of being low-resonating when we want to be high-resonating is what causes desire for empowerment to increase.
There are so many things that the human mind considers unforgivable but from the universe’s standpoint, it’s all just energy and what we choose to align with.
Either way, it’s like Rumi said, “Everything in the Universe is within you.” I take that to mean the good, the bad, and the ugly. And all of it is divine.
